Chilton
- I would be able to show my neighbor the "Chilton" web site. We would enter in the info of their Jeep. Using the prompts on the left side you are able to narrow your search to Steering, Steering Wheel then on the main page select "removal and installation". You are able to click on relating videos and animations/tech tips. The one I would choose would be "Removal of the steering wheel and clock spring"
- Unable to find the info. Kept circling me back to VIN number. Is that what you wanted?
- Students will choose automobiles for single and different size families. They will need to look at safety, recalls, service schedule, cost and insurance. They would report and discuss their findings in groups.
Mango
- The student would be able to type in Vietnamese and Mango would translate to English. We would be able to type to them in English and they would read the Vietnamese.
- Students who are reading/studying in a different language would be able to use this site if they are having problems translating the text they are reading. I had problems finding common core info on foreign languages...

Hi, Florence, Thanks for your work here. I'm going to ask you to take a look at a couple of things. In Chilton, for #2, you need to dig a little deeper. Select vehicle, click Repair, click General Information & Identification, click Engine & Vehicle Identification, click Transaxle Identification. A couple diagrams and a chart come up. Use the chart to find the number. Your Common Core connection is good, as is your help with your theoretical neighbor's Jeep. :) What you have down for Mango is correct, and there is more to Mango! Please go back into Mango and this time look at the section English courses for non-English speakers. By hovering over each choice, you will find Vietnamese. So Mango can be used for ELL/ESL, too! As for Common Core ELA standards, the closest we can come is in the Language section. Thanks for giving these a try!
